of Rachel Corrie...
Songs of
Conscience Virtual Album #2:
Rachel Corrie
Memorial Release I've (Mark Simos, Songs
of Conscience site-steward) recently
completed two songs in collaboration
with eco-feminist and activist Starhawk,
both dealing with the Palestinian
situation. "Rafah" is dedicated
to the memory of Rachel Corrie and
Tom Hurndall. "The Price of an Orange"
tells a more personal story based
on Starhawk's visits to Rafah. I've
also included for download a song
of my
own, "Moriah," or "The
Three Tests of Abraham," which
retells the Biblical story of Abraham,
Sarah, Isaac, Hagar and Ishmael from
a different perspective.
